Leviathan.

Aaron and I are doing our first rp and it takes place parlty on modern-day Atlantis in my world. The island has five guardians, one fore each element, and the water element is Leviathan. I started sketching a few of the guardians, and this is the only cool looking one....so Aaron requested I finish it...and I of course did so on Photoshop.

took 4 weeks, 5 days a week, an hour and a half a day. I have mixed feelings about the background, but I think it overall worked out.

Leviathan is a big, giant, demonic biblical monster that represents the devil...I think I read that God created two Leviathans, but thought the creations were so big and monsterous, that he could not allow them to reproduce, so he killed the female.

I read a description of how Leviathan was supposed to look. I somehow got the impression that his scales were shiny, blindingly shiny, even though the description said nothing about that. I imagine that Leviathan has a special attack in which he flashes his silver pectoral fins to temporarily blind victims and intruders. Originally he was only going to be blue, but I decided the contrast of red looked to pretty to ignore. I redid the eye twenty odd times before I got it just right. I got lazy on the fins, but they turned out cool anyway, and the scales look cool based on a complete burn/dodge mistake that I began repeating it over and over again on all the scales. The head was redone a couple times, as were the pectorals. I may still edit here and there, but they'll be small things.

I love critique. So far I've gotten a little complaint about the head which I'll be fixing.

Edit: I've changed it a little. I made the head larger and changed the scales behind the head. Aaron whined a bit about those details and I agreed with him. I also made other small adjustments, but none else worth mentioning.
